The first week of my New Testament introduction course often introduces some New Testament background. This includes a survey of Judea’s governors and Roman emperors in the first century, to provide a sort of timeline for events encountered in the New Testament. The reason this session is recorded is because we could not meet in class the first day (Jan. 26, 2026) due to an ice storm. Additionally, the same ice storm had prevented me from reaching home for a couple days. Unfortunately, then, I recorded this after having only four hours of sleep, so I hope if you can find the information helpful you can ignore my style and delayed cerebral processing!
