In Mark 11:17, Jesus reminds hearers that Scripture welcomed all peoples to God’s house. In Acts 21, some of Paul’s enemies accuse him of having taken a Gentile past the dividing partition in the Temple, beyond which Gentiles were not allowed to cross. Archaeologists long ago found one of the signs warning Gentiles not to enter.
